. . . For being a grown-up!

From comment on FF.net on A Perfect Pet for Donnie:

Reader:

I love this story!
but I hated the bullying ):(
Raphael was being so mean! If I were there I would give him one spanking he would not forget.
Now Donnie's got some new pets :3
*laughing so hard* Raph got what was coming to him! XD XD XD XD XD
fear of cockroaches, classic (though I forgot what the phobia name for it is)
Thank you for the story you made, keep up the good work!

Hummer:

Thank you so much! Raph was being a real d***, he totally deserved that payback. XD Fear of cockroaches is Katsaridaphobia. Raph's got it bad. :-D

Reader:

Thank you and your welcome :3
By the way, might I ask you to refrain from using curse words, I don't feel comfortable about it
sure I can Tolerate it for some time, but it bothers me

If it's not to much trouble that is
and by the way, if you want to chat sometime, my doors always open

And yes, I absolutely love that episode from TMNT 2012, that cockroach episode. I was laughing my face off XD XD XD XD

Hummer:

Sorry, didn't even realize that was considered a curse word. It's just a descriptive way to say someone was being nasty to someone else. It wasn't a four letter word, though the asterisks make it appear that way.

Reader:

I forgive you
no real harm done
but please be aware next time

So do you have any plans for another story?

By the way, the word I used was “Douche”, the informal North American meaning being an obnoxious or contemptible person, typically a man”.

I don’t know about everyone else, but the main reason I write is because I enjoy the creative outlet.  It is relaxing, it is energizing, and it stimulates my brain.  I learn something with nearly every story I write.  I do research and I enjoy it.

My primary reason for posting the things I write is because I love to interact with other members of the fandom.  I do that through your comments.  I have found over the years that you guys are funny, intelligent, thoughtful, charismatic, creative, enlightened, and my favorite – wonderfully witty.

Only a small percentage of the people I meet in real life are any of those things.  They don’t energize me the way you folks do.

I have talked to people from all over the world, learned things about other cultures, and exchanged useful tips.  And I’ve made friends; people I chat with and been chatting with for years, people I create with, bare my soul to – people I feel honored to know even though I’ve never come face to face with them.

People like MomoRawrr, babygirl127, orangebarmy, Grubus, ashitarimai, Baraturts, BakaMeganekko, ChiakiAngel, Blackdragon-sama, Sherenelle, Teratophelia, FoxKids1302, KameChuu, Dragona15, NeatTea, ScoopGirl and sneefee, to name a few.

There are many others who I’m getting to know and the process of learning about them is invigorating.  Thanks to Skype and a couple of chat groups, I’m being introduced to long time members of the fandom whom I’ve never really talked to before, and I’m loving the opportunity.

Before anyone starts to think I’ve gone completely off topic from where this journal began, I really do have a point to make.  I’m an adult.  I say adult things.  For the most part, I write about adult topics.  I use adult language – including curse words.  When I’m around kids I never curse.  When I’m online, I talk like myself because I have no idea if I’m replying to someone who is underage or who might be offended.

The reader who left the above message fusses at me for cursing (and applying that term to the word I used is questionable), then asks to chat with me.  Are you kidding?  Why would I subject myself to a conversation where I’d have to watch every word I said and basically not be myself?

People sometimes wonder why psychology fascinates me so much.  This was a pretty good example.  I could spend my whole life studying the subject and still never figure people out.

This comment makes no sense when 90% of what you write is adult. I mean, I'm sure she reads adult words in your stuff all the time, right?
