Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

You know, if Nick was actually trying to piss me off, they couldn’t possibly do a better job! I have been gritting my teeth as I watch the new show because it is very cute and entertaining, but I have a real problem with how they are portraying Michelangelo.

Yes, his character is energetic and youthful. Yes, he does tend to take things a little less seriously than his brothers. Yes, he is a prankster, a live wire, and a wise guy.

No, he is NOT stupid!

Do you hear me Nickelodeon? Michelangelo is not stupid. If you want to make me happy again, stop running those asinine commercials comparing Patrick to Mikey on the brainless meter.

The character of Michelangelo was not created to be stupid. He is not part of a tough ninja team who has had to survive their entire lives on their wits and talents just to be your path to a cheap laugh.

There will now be an entire generation of kiddos who will think that Michelangelo is an idiot and that if it weren’t for his brothers he’d be dead. Mikey is friggin’ SMART people; he is sharp, witty, intelligent, resourceful, insightful, quick, talented, agile, strong, and tough as a nail.

Please, please do me a favor Turtle fans – if you do nothing else, could you please read some of the original comics? Or watch a few episodes of the 2k3 version of the cartoon because it sticks more closely to the original characters from the comics.

Michelangelo is a beautiful character who does not deserve to be mutilated by Nickelodeon. He is my muse and I love him. I will defend his true character and personality with my last breath.

It's not that Mikey's stupid in the 2k3 series he jokes around to lighten the mood. Mikey is the what keeps the team together. Without him I think Leo and Raph would have killed eachother long ago. Mikey's also the onl one who can get Don out of his room....

We see plenty of flashes of brilliance from Mikey in 2k3 and that is the real Mikey. He is optimistic and fun loving true, but he is also very smart. He keeps the other three grounded in the real world and that's ultra important.

i hope they do fix this in the upcoming episodes..

and poor donnie.. i always had a picture of donnie as the sweet level-headed one.. but now he's more dorky then ever.. and dosn't have that sweet impression to him anymore.. at least for me it feels like that

also the episode 'mousers attack' .. what's with the roles! they pointed that mike and don are the side-kicks to leo and raph.. for me they all had the same role even if leo was the leader.. don and mike are not side-kicks! it just didn't feel right..

also april.. 'sigh' i don't like her being a teenager like the guys.. she was way more cooler when she was older.. like a big sister and all

now she's .. she's.. a teenager!!!!!.. not like the cool older april that go around helping the guys by hacking a system or driving a hilocopter or even letting them stay in her apartment if there was a foot clan wondering the sewers looking for the turtles.. ahh good old april.. but i guess i'll give this one a chance .. though i don't like the idea of donnie having a stupid crush on her ..

There are so many things that perturb me about the characterizations in the new show. If they were small changes I probably wouldn't mind, but come on! How could Mikey be stupid and still be alive? That's ridiculous. Also, they are perpetuating the idiotic idea started by the 2007 movie that Don and Mikey are less important to the team than Leo and Raph. That couldn't be farther from the truth; both Don and Mikey are great fighters as well as smart ones. Mikey doesn't run screaming from a fight; in fact he has a tendency to egg his brothers towards battles when he feels like they need to prove something. Sure he screeches when he gets surprised, that's only because he's way more vocal than his brothers.

And what they've done to Donatello.

He is witty and sarcastic, gentle and caring. He is not a snarky, blow hard, know-it-all. He certainly wouldn't trip over his own tongue if he met a girl he liked - there were certainly plenty of girls in the 2k3 series who related to him quite easily. And I too prefer the older sister vibe of the previous April.

*sigh* I'll probably watch the show 'cause I need my turtle fix, but I'm not going to be rushing to the TV to see it.
